Hi, my name is Curtis Martins-Brown and I’m the responsible individual for Lucien House. I have worked with young people for 8 years now, working in OFSTED regulated provisions to Semi-independent. I have worked my way up to managerial positions within the sector and am passionate about achieving positive outcomes for our future generation of young people. I have also a degree in Childhood & Education where I achieved a 2.1.

With years of experience in both business and the care industry, I bring a deep understanding of what it takes to run a successful children's home. As the director, I’ve worked hands-on in every aspect of the job, so I know exactly what the role involves—from daily operations to supporting staff and ensuring the best care for every child. My background has given me the insight and dedication needed to lead with both compassion and professionalism.

I have a passion for working with young people and achieving positive outcomes, I enjoy developing staff and watching them progress to managerial roles. Working in a residential setting is a very rewarding job and has enabled me over the years to achieve numerous positive outcomes and develop strong relationships with outside agencies, ultimately achieving the best outcome for the young people we care for. I have over 20 years of experience working with young people that display challenging and emotional behaviours and learning difficulties. As you will see from my OFSTED reports, I have obtained an “Outstanding” in Leadership and Management in my last report in 2019 and always maintained a “Good” in every home I have managed.
